The fate of this article

I stubbed it after a quick search engine query. I saw tons of articles. It turns out there is really only one or two articles sold to lots of publications. So, is this really notable? Only a couple of companies make this, and one is mentioned again and again. So, this article could be seen as promotional. Will the subject be interesting in 30 years?
